Few Bollywood actresses such as Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar, Nimrat Kaur and others have spoke against the recent violence in JNU without bothering about the online trolling and political furore. Now, Tollywood is following a similar trend as our actors are slowly coming out in support for Amaravati farmers, who are fighting against CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s three-capital proposal.
After Telugu actor Nara Rohith, singer Smitha has offered her support to Amaravati farmers. Reacting to their protests, Smitha tweeted, “Extremely sad and heartbreaking. It’s very painful to see how many have become so insensitive and don’t care anymore for anything beyond themselves #AmaravathiFarmers I am with you. I am praying for you each day & sharing your pain. WE can make anything happen #UnitedWeStand”. However, netizens look at both of them (Rohith and Smitha) as supporters of Telugu Desham party.
Earlier today, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s nephew Nara Rohith too plegded his support for protesters and said he will soon participate in their fight. It’s known that farmers of capital region are agitating from last 23 days and they received complete support from opposition parties.
