Naga Chaitanya-starrer Premam, Nani’s Jersey and Nithiin’s Bheeshma have one thing in common apart from that the film is produced by Sithara Entertainments, a sister firm of Haarika & Hassine Creations, and all got both critical acclaim as well as commercial success. The hidden common factor is that all these three films were directed by only one-movie-old directors.
While the production house has handpicked director Chandoo Mondeti for Premam remake after he scored hit with Karthikeya, Gowtam Tinnanuri too was selected and given opportunity to make Jersey with Nani after his directorial debut Malli Raava fared average at the BO. Interestingly, Venky Kudumula’s Chalo was a runaway success and he too given chance to make Bheeshma with Nithiin and the film which released this Friday is heading towards super success.
Usually, second film is very crucial for a director as most of the directors have failed to score success with second movie whilst their first one was hit. So, traditional producers usually wait for a said director to prove with second film and would be ready to work with him/her only from third movie on wards. However, producer Naga Vamshi adopted a different approach. With Bheeshma too becoming successful and director Venky Kudumula garnering good applause for handling the movie well, producer proved to be right in his judgement again.
This is a unique thing that a single production house has scored three hits with one-movie-old directors who cemented their position as directors in the film industry in short time.
