There are some themes in Telugu cinema which always had that universal appeal, and ‘astrology’ related stuff with a bit of mythology and curses attached to it, always works. And it looks like after lots of re-working, superstar Prabhas’ next flick, almost titled ‘O Dear’, also fell in a similar loop.
Actually, the film happens to be a love story set in two times, one in the present time and other one in a vintage era with Europe backdrop. Connecting these two times, the latest twist to the film’s story is that Prabhas will have the ability to correct the fate of heroine (Pooja Hegde) who faces an inescapable curse due to her planetary positions and birth stars.
Of course, these types of stories are not new to Indian audiences as we have seen such films many times including that of Magadheera and Om Shanti Om, where re-births, stars and sacrifice forms the crucial screenplay of the film. But then, we have to see what type of versatility Prabhas and his director Radhakrishna are bringing to this new film’s story.
