US President Donald Trump stated that everybody loves Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi but to me he is a very tough man.
Addressing the massive gathering Montera cricket stadium, Trump said, “We will always remember this remarkable hospitality. India will hold a special place in our hearts. PM Modi started out as ‘Tea Wallah.’ Everybody loves him but I will tell you, he is very tough.”
Praising PM Modi, the US President further said, “You (Modi) are not just the pride of Gujarat, you are living proof that with hard work and devotion. Indians can accomplish anything at all, anything they want. The Prime Minister is a moving story of an incredible rise.”
Then the US President revealed the main purpose of his India visit. “I’m pleased to announce that tomorrow our representatives will sign deals to sell over US$ 3 Billion to the Indian armed forces,” quipped Trump.
Mentioning about Pakistan, Trump added that the relationship between US and Pakistan has improved and hopes the border tension would settle down and bring stability in South Asia. On terrorism, he said, “The US & India are committed to working together to stop terrorists & to fight their ideology.”
