Popular Political Strategist Prashant Kishor, who recently had quit Janata Dal (United) is likely to enter Upper House Rajya Sabha. Surprising, Prashant is expected to contest for Rajya Sabha as Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress Party member.
According to Political insiders, Mamata is looking for someone who can voice out party’s stand powerfully in Rajya Sabha. Already, Kishor’s IPAC team entered into an agreement with TMC to design campaign strategies for the upcoming assembly polls. The Rajyasabha tenure of TMC’s Manish Gupta, Ahmed Hasan Imran and KD Singh is coming to an end soon. The election for these 4 RS seats and a seat belonging to CPI (M) is scheduled to take place on 26th March.
Reacting to RS election, senior leaders of TMC said “In the current political scenario, it is highly important for us (Trinamool Congress) to voice out our stand in Rajya Sabha. So, our party is focused on sending some young leaders to upper house. Prashant Kishor is already working against Bharatiya Janata Party. Besides him, Party is planning to send Dinesh Trivedi, Mausam Noor to Rajya Sabha”.
