Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani’s daughter Swetha Kesineni is all set for her full-fledged political entry. Swetha Kesineni is entering into electoral politics as she is going to contest as TDP’s Mayor candidate for Vijayawada. Swetha is quite active in social and public life. Swetha had got noticed when she had addressed at National Women’s Parliament in 2017 held at Amaravati. She had also supported Hillary Clinton during US Presidential Elections and actively campaigned for Hillary.
An alumnus of Emory University, Swetha had actively campaigned for her father and TDP’s MP candidate Kesineni Nani in 2019 polls. Swetha was the campaign incharge for Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat. Swetha had also supported Jaleel Khan’s daughter Shabana Khatur in Vijayawada West constituency and took part in her campaign. Swetha is now aiming to become a strong woman leader of TDP from Vijayawada. TDP has strategically fielded Swetha as party’s mayor candidate.
Nani, who escaped defeat in Vijayawada by narrow margin, is now given task of winning his daughter as the city Mayor. Interestingly, YCP is lagging behind in Vijayawada and Guntur ever since the party has decided to shift executive capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam. With this, the election in Vijayawada and Guntur districts have become crucial for both ruling and opposition parties. One has to wait and watch, whether a new woman leader would be born in Vijayawada.
