With the election getting postponed amidst the chaos in the constituencies over the nominations as well as Coronavirus pandemic, many aspects of the elections are being introspecting on monetary loss and economic shutdown.
Jagan Mohan Reddy had also mentioned that because of this delay, the 5 thousand crores of funds that were supposed to come from 14th economic committee are also delayed.
But if we inspect the situation in detail, we understand that there is no truth in this. Because, since the Central Government is postponing the elections according to its own without any interfere from the State government’s side.
Therefore, the analysts say that the State government can still claim the funds.
But other side of the fact is that according to the constitution of India, only if the elections are conducted in time and the work is going on accordingly, the central government is supposed to release funds for Panchayats. Else, those funds will go wasted and another economic year has to be waited and the State has to bear the losses.
So we need to wait and see how the fate of Andhra Panchayats is going to be.
