The State election commission’s decision to postpone the local body elections by six weeks has not gone well with the CM Jagan as the latter lashed at the former, bringing his caste into the discussion and also alleged that he is just following the orders of previous CM who appointed him then.
Well, the latest update is that two other states Maharashtra and West Bengal have decided to postpone the local body elections amid Corona scare. The pandemic and scare that is shaking the world at this moment need to be addressed in a proper manner and the act by SEC to postponed the elections was in accordance with it.
Attributing the caste and vengeance politics to the act to acknowledge and follow the precautions to prevent the giant virus, is attracting criticism towards AP CM YS Jagan. While the whole world is advising to stay home and stay clean, public gatherings like pollings are least advisable. The local body elections are not bigger than the virus that has been curbing the lives around, it is high time that the state government stops resorting to unnecessary caste-blame in the regard of election postponement.
With the postponement of elections in two other states, the opposition is not leaving the chance to criticize Jagan and has been asking if those states have the respective State election commissioners that belong to the former CM’s caste.
