Almost 30 states and Union territories in India have declared a lockdown by evening on Monday after the virus spread is believed to be accelerating at a rapid speed. These lockdowns are expected to help to slow it down and avoid repeating Italy here.
With a sudden rise of 75 positive coronavirus infected, making the total to 471 in the country in the last 24 hours, all the states in India turned highly alert and most of them declared the mandatory lockdown. Two persons have died yesterday, one in Bengal and the other in Himachal Pradesh.
It is already known that domestic flights have been canceled and the legal action against the violators of lockdown has been announced. Punjab and Maharashtra declared a curfew, while Maharashtra has the highest number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus.
30 states with around 548 districts have gone for a lockdown, where UP, MP, and Odisha have decided for a partial shutdown. Only two states Mizoram and Sikkim have not taken a decision yet on Coronavirus lockdown.
