Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation a while back on the next action to fight coronavirus and in a breaking announcement, asked the nation to stay completely locked-down for the next three weeks starting midnight today.
Modi asked the nation to stay indoors for the next 21 days from today to fight the deadly virus from attacking more people. With the infected cases of 500 and nine deaths, the Indian government is taking all possible measures to curb the spread of the virus and the complete lockdown at this stage is unavoidable.
This is PM Modi’s second time addressing the nation regarding the outbreak after he asked for Janta Curfew, a 14 hour self-quarantine on Sunday. Modi underlined the importance of social distancing and said it as the only way of arresting the spread of coronavirus.
Also, the PM Modi announced a 15,000 crore allocation by the centre to fight coronavirus.
