Production Managers are known to get their cut in every deal of film production. The directors are mostly aware of it and allow them to siphon off the money during execution, so that next time this manager will be indebted to him and come handy. (The production manager would bring home made food for the director till the film finished).
It is like both are hand in glove in making the producer a pauper even before the film’s business is done.
Here we are talking of Director Bobby and his production manager who worked for Venky Mama when two production houses were involved in getting a film out to the theatres.
When Suresh Babu was busy with Rana’s health emergency and was away from the country, his production gave a free hand to People’s Media who doled out funds asked by Bobby.
The producer was upset that the project went over the hill and he realised later that someone from his side should have been a part of the team to reign in People’s Media and Bobby.
News is trickling in that Suresh Productions is totally miffed with Bobby and his Ads and managers and vowed never to work with them.
Now Bobby’s Man Friday has moved into executive producer K Vivek’s team and Bobby’s manager who made a quick buck is waiting for the lock down to be lifted so that he can make more money and build his dream house in Manikonda that he is trying to buy from a deceased comedian’s family.
At a time of recession, the production managers one tribe who never face shortage of money.
