Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan has tested negative for Corona Virus. Jagan has used the newly imported rapid testing kit. With the result turning out to be negative, officials and his party leaders heaved a huge sigh of relief.
The rapid tests are taking about 10 minutes to get the results. So, unlike before, the test results would be out in much rapid way. These rapid testing kits for Covid-19 have been imported from South Korea. About 1,00,000 rapid testing kits have arrived through a special charted flight from Seoul to AP.
CM Jagan has launched the rapid testing kits in AP today at his camp office in Amaravati. These rapid testing kits are going to be used at community test centers. Officials are making preparations to send these rapid kits to the 13 districts of the state. It is learnt that Kurnool, Nellore, Guntur and Krishna districts are going to get maximum number of kits given that the spread of the virus is severe in these districts.
AP government said to have ordered for another 10 lakh rapid test kits. In a few more days, the delivery of the 1 million rapid test kits are going to arrive in AP. The government has decided to conduct more number of tests. Currently, AP is said to be conducting about 2000 Corona tests. The government is planning to double the number of Corona tests.
The total number of Covid-19 cases in AP has touched 572. In the last 24 hours, 38 new cases have been reported of which Kurnool reported highest number with 13 positive cases and Nellore reported second with 6 positive cases, Anantapur and Chittoor stood third with each got 5 new cases, Guntur and Krishna reported 4 positive cases and Kadapa got 1 new Covid-19 case.
