Both ruling and opposition parties in the Andhra Pradesh have their own media houses and favourable print media to back up their every activity. After the YSRCP came into power, certain media houses criticized the rule of the Jagan and contradicted with him in his every decision.
On the other side, the ruling party’s favourable media started to defend the government and started a cold war with the other media houses as well. In some instances, they attacked each other personally. Most importantly, the media which has been favourable to the opposition is the pro-active force in the state and even in the past they praised Chandra Babu and projected him as the greatest leader ever.
Now, the situation has changed. YSRCP is the supreme force in the state and Jagan is turning out invincible at this moment. On the other side, TDP is on the verge of the collapse as their leaders are leaving the party as a flock and there is no clarity about its future after CBN. So, it seems like certain biased media has changed their way for the greater good.
In the recent time, this particular media who used to troll Jagan in his every turn is showering praises on the AP Chief Minster and are applauding all his efforts in the COVID-19 control activities. They say that Jagan is a visionary and he always thinks of the AP people’s welfare and the most potent leader in this entire country.
They came to know that Jagan will become as an unbeatable force in the near future and shifted their base to the ruling party. If media is a bridge between People and politicians, that bridge tilts both ways.
