The Telangana High Court has already expressed their disappointment over the Telangana government’s policy for the COVID-19 confirmatory tests. Right from the beginning, Telangana CM KCR said that there is no need to test every contact of positive cases and their government only decided to test the people at risk and with symptoms.
Recently, the High court slashed this stand from the government and asked them to increase the testing without any limitations but there has been no considerable change in the behavior of the Telangana government. Now, this recent incident has shown how the KCR government is playing with the lives of its people with their sloppy standards.
A judge in the Telangana high court met with an employee working in the court and asked the well-being of his family. The employee said that his bother has Asthma and it got worse recently. The judge, however, puzzled with the symptoms of his brother asked the employee to get him tested for the COVID-19, the most prevalent disease in the world at the moment.
As per the judge’s suggestion, the employee tested his brother and also to another 14 members in his family. Now, the results that came out of those tests are very shocking. 7 people out of those 14 were tested positive for COVID-19. This incident happened in the Khairatabad, Chintalbasti which is a containment zone.
Citizens may not dare to get tested for the virus’ presence for many reasons but it is the responsibility of the government to test each and every individual at least in the containment zone. So, unless KCR’s government changes their attitude, their state people will have to witness many more of these shocking incidents in the future.
