While the COVID-19 pandemic is not letting CBN do anything to increase his party’s mileage in the state, on the other side, the possible defections of the few TDP MLAs, former ministers and some key leaders in some constituencies shook Chandrababu.
Babu was clueless about the happenings in the state just before the ‘Mahanadu’ as YCP targeted the opposition party so that their Opposition’ status would expire. But, Babu brought all his experience into the play and immediately got in contact with those leaders in question and explained them the things in detail.
However, after some strong efforts from the TDP’s high command along with Naidu, these leaders started to rethink their decision. Naidu’s ploy is to keep his ‘opposition’ status intact for the longest time possible.
Of course, on June 18th, the Rajya Sabha elections will happen and Babu will get to know how many leaders have obeyed his words but, for now, his long term plan is a huge success as he successfully changed their one-way thinking and did stop them from ditching his party.
Prakasham district Paruchur MLA Samba Siva Rao, two MLAs from Vizag district, and one from West Godavari and some former ministers are said to be the people who are attracted by the ruling party.
