TDP Chief and Ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu spoke out on several aspects of current Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan’s rule, and the way the state is suffering because of it. Chandrababu highlighted many points that are not right in the state right now, and about all the scams that have happened because of the current government.
Speaking about the 104, 108 ambulances that were launched by Jagan yesterday, Chandrababu asked what was so special about these ambulances. He questioned why there had to be so much publicity about inaugurating ambulances that have been there in the state for so long. Chandrababu said that there is a huge scam behind the inauguration of the ambulances, as huge as Rs. 3,700 crores. He also said that these ambulances were a gift to Jagan’s close aide Vijayasai Reddy, and not to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Chandrababu Naidu then spoke about the atrocities Atchannaidu has had to face, just because he wrote a letter against Jagan. Chandrababu pointed out that the police department jumped over the walls and gates of Atchannaidu’s house to arrest him, like he was some international terrorist. Chandrababu also said that the government paid no heed to Atchannaidu’s health condition, and drove him 600 Kilometers, right after he underwent an important surgery. As a result, Atchannaidu’s health deteriorated, as the area where the surgery was done was bleeding. Atchannaidu had to be hospitalised after that, and had to once again undergo treatment to get better. However, his condition hasn’t improved, with Atchannaidu being spotted on a wheelchair after he was discharged from Guntur government hospital yesterday.
Chandrababu questioned how it was okay to file cases and take revenge on anyone and everyone who went against the government. He asked how it was okay to behave in such a cruel and inhuman manner. Chandrababu also pointed out that none of the government’s actions are in line with democracy, and that the government is just doing whatever it feels like.
Chandrababu Naidu also spoke about the 3 Capital issue, and how the government just didn’t care about the various protests by Amaravati farmers – protests that were being carried out for more than 200 days now. He asked the government what was the necessity in setting up 3 capitals when a foundation has already been laid down in Amaravati to make it a capital. Chandrababu pointed out that the self-financing policy of Amaravati project has been abandoned by Jagan simply out of spite and for personal benefits.
Speaking about the YSRCP’s decision of painting all government buildings in their party colours, Chandrababu Naidu asked how it was fair to paint these buildings in theri party colours in the first place, using the money of the people, and how it is fair to repaint them in white, once again using the money of the people. Chandrababu also said that the government has been wasting people’s money on useless things like this, instead of helping those in need during these dire circumstances in the time of Coronavirus.
Talking about what the Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman, said about Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu said that the AP government wasted Rs. 8,000 crores that were given to them by the Central Government to help the people of the state. He also once again highlighted that the Andhra Pradesh government was charging way more for electricity, when compared to what the Central government was charging. Chandrababu scorned the way the YSRCP reacted to these issues pointed out by Nirmala Sitharaman. He said that the party reacted in the most irresponsible and senseless manner.
