Producer Nikhil Dwivedi was on receiving end from netizens when he backed Rhea Chakraborty, who has been arrested in drug bust case.
Nikhil tweeted on 8th night that he is not much aware of Rhea and what kind of a person she is. He said what is happening to Rhea was unfair and no one should pass judgements until proven guilty. He ended up by saying he would like to work with her when the case is over.
Very soon the twitteratis shown their furore over the producer to stop supporting the actress and trolled him with below the belt comments.
He replied to the trolls today morning on twitter, “To those who think I am supporting a drug user or drug peddler & trolling me. I wud (would) like to say I DON’T CARE! I m NOT supporting #Rhea but standing up to our tendency to pronounce judgments before law has” (sic).
With a continuous influx of undue responses from users, he once again iterated in another tweet by questioning the public whether the court convicted her and in case they did if she doesn’t reform, then he would take his words back. Nonetheless, Nikhil reiterated that the media & public needs to stop passing judgment and asserted his support is for ‘someone innocent until proven guilty’ and not for RheaChakraborty. To which, one of the users said Rhea was already arrested.
