Normally, every political leader tries to keep the NGOs and government employees in good humour. In fact, KTR had walked extra mile to keep the gazetted and non-gazetted officials happy. He had given extensions to them and gave key contracts to their kin.
But, one party seems to be up in arms against the TNGOs. The BJP has accused the TNGOs of pandering to the KCR. BJP Telangana president Bandi Sanjay has warned the TNGOs that their dark deals and behind-the-screen agreements would be exposed soon. The reason for his anger is that the TNGOs’ support to the Bharat Bandh called by the Opposition. The TNGOs joined the bandh saying that they were responding to the call given by KCR. ‘How can TNGOs respond to a political call? They are government servents not servants of any party,’ roared Bandi Sanjay.
If sources are to be believed, he is said to be using former TNGO leader and former legislative council speaker Swamy Goud to split the TNGOs. A large section of the TNGOs are strongly opposed to the underhand dealings of some of their leaders and are looking for a platform to vent their grievances. The BJP is eyeing this section.
