The Andhra Pradesh cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met today for a meeting in the Secretariat on Friday in Tadepalli.
During the meeting, the state cabinet has approved the Rythu Bharosa scheme and gave its nod to deposit the subsidy amount in the bank accounts of the farmers directly.
The ordinance to set up Andhra Pradesh Medical Education and Research Corporation was also approved by the cabinet in the meeting that ended recently.
Reports claimed that the cabinet discussed the distribution of house pattas and the construction of pucca houses. Policies like AP Survey and Boundary Law Amendment, Andhra Pradesh Tourism were also discussed.
In the Cabinet meeting, the proposal to deposit Input Subsidy in the accounts of beneficiaries directly through the Real Time Gross Settlement(RTGS) transfer system.
The farmers will be paid the compensation in the respective season and the victims of the recently hit Cyclonic Storm Nivar will be paid their compensation.
The Cabinet cleared the proposal to start 27 medical colleges across the state and Rs 16,000 crore funds were granted in this regard, while the proposal of 16 new medical colleges was passed.
To develop the state tourism, a new policy, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Policy 2020-25 was passed by the cabinet. The policy aims to boost tourism in the state.
