A tense situation aroused in temple city Tirupati after the police slapped notices to the opposition TDP leaders for taking out the ‘Dharma Parirakshana Yatra’ and taking the party leaders into custody.
The police foil the ‘Dharma Parirakshana Yatra’ called by the TDP against the attacks on Hindu worship places and detained TDP leaders like TDP state president K Atchannaidu and others.
Atchannaidu and others were taken into custody by the cops in a private hotel in Tirupati on Friday, as the party leaders tried to hold a massive rally in Town Club, Circle in Tirupati.
When the police tried to detain him, Atchannaidu indulged in a war of words with the cops and made controversial comments against them. He warned them of dire consequences and they will not be spared even after the cops get retired.
During the detain episode, another TDP leader Nimmala Rama Naidu behaved rudely with lady S.I Deepika and even warned her when she found fault with the way the leader behaved with her.
The Andhra Pradesh Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG-Technical) G. Pala Raju lashed out at the behavior of leaders and their comments on the police department.
He said I don’t know why people see cast in the police when the department is bound to serve the public in the state.
