Telugu Desam Party Andhra Pradesh president and Tekkali MLA Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, who was arrested for threatening a Sarpanch candidate in Nimmada, has been released from jail today. Sompeta Additional District Court of Srikakulam District has granted bail with a surety of Rs 50,000.
As per reports, Police booked 22 people, including the senior lawmakers in connection with clashes between the ruling and opposition party followers and registered cases under various sections.
While walking out of the jail, Atchannaidu alleged that the YSRC government had booked him for false and unrelated cases and trying to shut his voice, which is representing the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Atchannaidu was arrested in the early hours of February 2 on the for threatening a candidate while filing nomination as Sarpanch candidate in Nimmada.
