The state government (Ap government) is strongly opposing the privatization of the Vizag steel plant. Chief Minister YS Jagan has already written a letter to Prime Minister Modi on the matter.
He explained that if the captive mines were allocated, the Visakhapatnam Steel Factory would return to profit. He said that privatization should not happen.
Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan has said that he has asked Union Home Minister Amit Shah not to privatize the Visakhapatnam steel plant.
Speaking to the media after meeting Union ministers in Delhi, he said the final decision on the steel plant would be taken by the Central government.
Against this background, all the 28 YCP MPs are planning to meet the central Home Minister Amit Shah soon regarding this.
