In Andhra Pradesh, the ruling party, YCP is facing many criticisms regarding the forced religious conversion allegations. Recently, the BJP party has accused the YCP of promoting forced religious conversions in the state.
One of the key leaders of the BJP, Sunil Deodhar, made sensational allegations on the social media platforms that YCP is carrying out ‘Christian Mafia’ in Edlapad of Guntur district. He also posted some photos to this effect. Many BJP leaders are tweeting with the hashtag ‘Encroachment4ChristianinAP’. Apart from the state BJP leaders, many BJP national-level leaders are also tweeting in the same manner.
On the other hand, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is leaving for Delhi today. Chief Minister YS Jagan is rumored to be meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Delhi. It remains to be seen if there is any link between Jagan’s visit to Delhi and the BJP’s concern over religious conversions in the state.
