Ex Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy has finally quit Congress and officially announced that he would be joining the BJP. He informed the same to all of his well-wishers and said that he continued to stay in the congress keeping in mind the MLC elections, in which his friend Chinna Reddy was contesting as a candidate. He didn’t want his friend to suffer because of his exit, which is why Konda remained in Congress until then.
For a while now, there have been several speculations that Konda would be joining the Bharatiya Janata Party, but nothing was made official until now. Konda won as Chevella MP in 2014, when he was a part of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. However, he was not part of the TRS for a long time due to various changes in the political scenario and shifted to Congress.
Konda once again contested from Chevella in 2019 but lost out to TRS with a very small gap. Konda is highly famous for his sarcastic remarks on KCR and KTR, which he makes sure to make whenever he gets the chance to, in his own style.
