COVID vaccine drive is reportedly found to have improved on Wednesday with 26433 beneficiaries across the state. However on the flip side, the state witnessed the highest count of Covid-19 cases for this year, in a single day on Wednesday with 247 new cases, a surge of cases in Kamareddy, Mancherial, Medchal-Malkajgiri districts has created the double trouble. This soon took the total tally to 3,01,769.
60000 test samples are under process to further report the covid count. The sudden rise was recorded subsequent to new outbreaks of positive cases from five schools across the state lately.
After a hiatus of 48 days, more than 200 cases are being reported on a daily basis since March 12. While 60,527 samples were assessed and results of 588 are awaited. Three more COVID-19 patients succumbed to the virus, increasing up the death toll to 1,659.
The new 247 cases include 45 from Mancherial, 41 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 35 from Kamareddy, 29 from Greater Hyderabad region and 10 from Rangareddy. Till March 16 this year, a total of 93,59,772 samples have been sent to diagnostic tests. Of all the positive cases reported till date, 2,101 are active while 2,98,009 have recuperated.
