Pawan Kalyan: They own gambling clubs, why shouldn’t I act in movies?

It has been well over three years since Pawan Kalyan last attended a movie event and he finally put an end to the long wait as he graced the pre-release event of his upcoming film Vakeel Saab today.

Pawan Kalyan looked calm and composed while speaking at the event. Here are a few excerpts from his speech.

“I like to work with filmmakers who really have passion towards cinema and also have a liking towards me. I honestly feel lucky to have worked with Venu Sriram and Dil Raju,” Pawan said.

The star hero went on to say that playing a lawyer on screen is a delightful experience for him personally. “I watched Amitabh Bhachchan’s Pink and liked it. But I never imagined I would star in the Telugu remake of the film. I feel honoured to have played a lawyer.”

“A few ask why I am acting in movies again. Well, they own gambling clubs, cement factories and run illegal businesses. Why shouldn’t I act in movies? By acting in movies, I am providing livelihood to around 1000 people and I feel this is a righteous path. I will continue to do movies and entertain my fans and followers,” he added.

Dil Raju’s YouTube channel which was broadcasting Vakeel Saab pre-release event live clocked a whopping 130K+ live viewers while Pawan Kalyan was speaking and that is a mighty rare feat.

Pawan Kalyan ended his speech saying he hopes everyone likes Vakeel Saab.

For the unversed, Vakeel Saab is gearing up for its worldwide grand slam theatrical release on 9th April.
