Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently busy with his upcoming film Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva. After wrapping up this project, the veteran actor is going to join the shooting of a Telugu remake of the Malayalam super hit film ‘Lucifer’.
The film was launched in January, and it will be directed by Mohan Raja. The pre-production is currently underway and the makers are finalizing the cast of the film.
The latest we hear is the makers approached Bollywood director and actor Anurag Kashyap to play the main antagonist role in the remake. But the B-town actor had politely denied their request, as he is already busy with many projects in his kitty. So, the makers are on a hunt for a powerful antagonist for the film.
The Telugu remake will be bankrolled by Konidela Production Company, Megaa Super Good Films and NVR films. S Thaman has been roped in to compose the music.
