TRS chief, Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao, aka KCR visited the state-run Gandhi hospital to inspect the facilities in the hospital amid the Covid scare in the state.The Chief Minister visited the hospital and interacted with the patients. During his visit, Finance Minister Harish Rao, Chief Secretary(CS) Somesh Kumar, and other medical officials accompanied him.
During his visit, KCR lauded the efforts of doctors and medical staff, who are treating the patients in the tough phase. He interacted with the patients and asked them about the facilities at the hospital.
KCR inspected the Emergency Ward and the Outpatient Ward at the state-run hospital. Around 1500 Coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment for the hospital. His Gandhi Hospital tour lasted for 40 minutes.
KCR assured the Covid patients, that things will get under control and they will beat the virus and asked the patients to be strong. He spoke to the doctors over the availability of medical oxygen, medicines, and others vitals.
To the unversed, CMKCR now holds the Health portfolio too after the infamous Etela row. He visited the hospital for the first time after the Health portfolio came under his control.
On the other hand, Telangana added as many as 3982 new cases, taking the total Covid cases in the state to 5,36,766. With 27 more people losing their lives, total deaths related to the virus zoomed to 3012.
