Singer cum dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripada is a staunch feminist. She led a large movement about the atrocities and sexual harassment of women in the industry. She had given a huge boost to the #Metoo movement in South India.
After she made serious allegations against Kollywood star lyricist Vairamuthu, Chinmayi has also lost her career. Despite facing all odds in the industry, the young singer is now winning over hearts for her generous initiation.
She started an initiative through which she would make and send videos, especially for people who give her money. If anyone approaches her asking to sing a particular song for any occasion, she will record a video of it being sung and send it to them.
By raising this money, she intends to help fund the education of school students. As per reports, the singer has taken on the responsibility of personally funding three students. One of the three is also a medical student.
This isn’t the first time she has supported such a cause. Last year, during the pandemic lockdown, she raised about Rs 1 crore by taking in song requests.
