It is now almost clear that Etela Rajender is all set to join the BJP. On Monday evening he met BJP national president JP Nadda and discussed the issue. Senior leaders of the BjP Bandi Sanjay, Tarun Chugh, Union Minister Kishan Reddy and state president Bandi Sanjay were also present at the meeting.
Though the Congress and the ultra Left parties too had extended their support to Etela and the Congress had even invited him to join the party, Etela chose the BJP. Even Revanth Reddy told Etela that the party would wholeheartedly welcome him into the party. Yet. Etela preferred the BJP.
Ever since he fell out with KCR, Etela has met leaders of all major political prties and discussed the future politics. He even met Prof Kodanda Ram of Telangana Jana Samithi seeking his support against KCR. However, he finally chose the BJP.
Sources say that the national leadership of the BJP has reportedly assured all support to Etela in case KCR teis to arrest him in connection with the cases foisted against him. There is also a buzz that the BJP has also assured him that he would be projected as the CM candidate in Telangana. Even Etela is said to have felt that there is no use fighting the elections as an independent. Hence, he chose the BJP.
