AP government sanctions Rs 17 lakh for Kathi Mahesh’s treatment

It is a known fact that popular actor, film critic and satirist Kathi Mahesh met with an accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district on Saturday (June 26).

It is reported that he is being treated at Apollo Hospital in Chennai and he underwent major surgery for the damage that was caused due to the accident.

Now, the Andhra Pradesh government headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has sanctioned Rs 17 Lakh from the CM Relief Fund for the treatment of Kathi Mahesh. Dr. M Hari Krishna, special officer to CM, has issued the official letter to Apollo hospital regarding the same.

Kathi Mahesh has openly supported the ruling YSR Congress party on most occasions. Though he is not an active party member, the Dalit activist publicly showed his affection towards CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Even in the 2019 elections, and recently held Tirupati parliamentary seat by-elections, Mahesh campaigned for the YSRC.
