TPCC President Revanth Reddy booked by Hyderabad police

Hours after Revanth Reddy took charge as the new president of TPCC, Hyderabad police have booked him and a few other leaders in various sections for organising a rally which led to traffic jams in different parts of the city.

The Congress leaders held a massive rally on Wednesday during the swearing-in of Revanth Reddy. Following this, police have booked him under 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), 149 (Every member of unlawful assembly guilty of an offence committed in prosecution of common object), 290 (Punishment for public nuisance) and other relevant sections of IPC, violation of Disaster Management Act and City Police Act.

The rally organised by Congress leaders and activists disturbed the traffic at various parts of the city, which includes Masab Tank, Nampally, Lakidikapul, Mallepally, different routes of Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and others.

On Wednesday, outgoing TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy handed over charge to Revanth Reddy in the presence of AICC (Telangana) in-charge Manickam Tagore and CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka at Gandhi Bhavan, Hyderabad.
