Bigshot director SS Rajamouli is a brilliant filmmaker with a fantastic vision. This is not a new thing and by now, everybody knows it. In his career spanning over two decades, he never gave a flop which explains his stamina and he made himself bigger and better with each film. Post ‘Baahubali’, the entire country is waiting for his upcoming film ‘RRR’ featuring Ram Charan and NTR in the lead.
This film was supposed to hit the screens on 31st July 2020. This was the date that the makers announced at the beginning of this film. It was postponed due to various reasons and just when things were going at a brisk pace, the virus struck the nation and the government issued a complete lockdown. With this, the release date shifted from 2020 to 2021. While many thought that it would arrive in summer, the team of ‘RRR’ announced that it will be hitting the screens on 13th October.
With the second lockdown and other issues, people estimated that Rajamouli would postpone it again but he is not interested in any more delays. The ace director is making it clear with each and every poster that the film is going to hit the screens on 13th October at all costs. He is trying to finish the film at a rapid pace which we don’t regularly happen for a Rajamouli. The theatres are getting opened but films are yet to release and the audience may or may not be willing to step into the theatres as of now. Films like ‘RRR’ need a lot of footfalls in the theatres to earn record-breaking collections. People are worried about whether October 13th is the best time to release such a big film or not.
Rajamouli is known for his marketing skills. He knows how to bring euphoria around his film and makes sure that people are all over his new release every time. If anyone can set the box-office registers ringing, it is going to be him and the star director has star heroes like NTR and Charan to help him. Let us wait and see if his idea of releasing ‘RRR’ on 13th October works out or not.
