Politics is a power game at the end of the day and the political parties often try to attract leaders from other parties to their side to make their outfit strong. The practice has been going on for a long time.
Ruling party attracting leaders from other parties is not surprising. But a n opposition party roping leaders from the ruling side is what we call a big move. Telangana witnessed the same when the BJP welcomed two TRS councillors in Dubbak leaving everyone stunned.
The development came as a hammer blow to the ruling TRS as it happened in combined Medak district, the home district of TRS chief, Chief Minister KCR and State Finance Minister finance minister T Harish Rao, who enjoys a mass following among the voters and public.
The ruling party councillors joined the opposition BJP on Tuesday in the presence of Dubbak MLA Raghunandan Rao.
TRS had started the damage control in no time and handed over the responsibility to bring back the councillors who joined the opposition party the other day.
It is said that the two councillors took a u- turn and joined back TRS on Wednesday. The duo reportedly apologized for leaving the party and assured Harish Rao that they will not leave the party again.
When asked about what made them leave the party, the councillors reportedly said that they were misled by the saffron party on the pretext of developing their respective wards
