Former Minister and the senior TDP leader Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao’s convoy was attacked near Gaddamanuguru village in Kondapalli reserve forest mining area of G Konduru Mandal on Tuesday night.
As per reports, Devineni Uma went for investigation on allegations of illegal mining in the Kondapalli forest area. On his way back, Uma’s car was stopped by YSRCP activists at Gaddamanuguru village in G. Kondur Mandal. The vehicle was surrounded and attacked. During the incident, the windshield of Uma’s car was damaged.
The former Minister alleged that the attack was carried out by the followers of Mylavaram YSRCP MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad. The situation became tense as TDP and the ruling party activists reached the spot.
Upon learning of the information, the police rushed to the spot and dispersed the two groups. Devineni Uma protested against this incident in front of the police station, alleging that the police had failed to provide security. He protested inside the vehicle, demanding the arrest of those responsible for the incident. Meanwhile, TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu phoned Devineni Uma to know the details of the incident.
