Veteran Tollywood actor-producer Maganti Murali Mohan and his relatives got a major sigh of relief in a case filed against them by the Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department over alleged cheating.
Hearing a petition that says a person was allegedly cheated by Jayabheri Group owned by Murali Mohan, the Andhra Pradesh High Court said that further proceedings in the case should be stopped until further notice.
Going into details, a person had complained alleging that his piece of land was taken by the group and was cheated. Based on the same the AP CID filed a case and issued summons to Jayabheri Group owner Murali Mohan and his family members to appear before the questioning.
Murali Mohan had moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court challenging the case filed by the AP CID against them. Murali Mohan’s advocate told the court that the land issue was a civil case but it was changed to a criminal case.
The advocate even added that the agreement made with the property owner was not violated by the Jayabheri Properties owned by his client. Satisfied with the arguments, the HC halted the proceedings in the court.
