It is already known that Telangana Chief Minister KCR has begun implementing the Dalit Bandhu scheme in the state, beginning with his adopted village of Vasalamarri. He recently even announced that Rs. 10 Lakhs would be deposited into the accounts of every eligible family, as part of this scheme. Some of the families have received their amounts today.
Almost as a counter-reaction to this scheme, TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy has begun another scheme, the Dalit-Girijan Dhandora, through which he plans on making sure that every Dalit family in the stater receives the amount they were promised. He also intends to tour all the districts in the state, and it is even being said that Rahul Gandhi will be invited to the event.
Given that the Dalit people of the state seem to have turned in favour of KCR, Revanth Reddy seems to be firm on wanting to make sure that the people don’t incline towards the TRS. He is constantly saying that the TRS will lure the people by depositing Rs. 10 Lakhs into the accounts of 10-20 people, and gain the votes of the Dalit, and then forget about it completely. It is now to be seen whose side the Dalits will incline towards.
