Much has been spoken about Pawan Kalyan’s powerful speech at the pre-release event of Republic, with some standing by the actor turned politician, and some choosing to take the other side. While Pawan spoke about the ticket prices issue in AP, his speech was undeniably politically charged, on the heavier side. Naturally, his speech attracted a lot of negative comments from the ruling party, with people abusing him and his family even, and continuing to do so.
Pawan spoke at his party office in Mangalagiri of Guntur district today, after meeting with his party members. This came after his party members were attacked by the ruling party in Kakinada, following Pawan’s previous speech. At the event, Pawan yet again delivered a high voltage speech, clearly telling the ruling party leaders that the Jana Sena is neither scared of their knives (kodi katthi) nor the goons they have hired to scare them away.
Pawan said that it is sad to see that the YSRCP is unable to rule the state properly, despite the number of representatives it has in the assembly. Pawan also said that he would have fought for Visakha Steel had he won in Visakhapatnam and said that he is still willing to fight despite losing, and would continue to do so, for the next 25 years of his life, as he promised in the 2014 elections. Pawan asked the people of all the castes to unite because that’s the only way the YSRCP’s rowdy rule will come to an end, but if the people fail to do so, then the state is in grave danger. Pawan promised the best development and the best security, and the best of everything, if he were to be voted to power, but said that he would continue to fight for the people, even if he didn’t win.
On the other hand, Pawan called out the YSRCP for ruling on the basis of caste, by getting his own caste members to abuse him. He reminded them that nothing would stop him from standing for the people, and calling out the YSRCP for every wrong that it does, as he had earlier made it clear, when Jagan invited him for his swearing-in ceremony, that he would support anyone who does good for the people, and would criticise the same person if they failed to do good to the people. On the whole, Pawan delivered a high voltage speech at Mangalagiri, emphasizing that the Jana Sena is ready for anything and that they wouldn’t back down anymore.
