Allu brothers unveil the statue of Allu Ramalingaiah

Stylish star Allu Arjun has unveiled the statue of his grandfather Padma Shri Allu Ramalingaiah in Allu Studios on the occasion of the iconic actor’s 100th birth anniversary. Allu brothers Bobby and Sirish have also joined the Arya actor in unveiling the statue.

“Unveiled the statue of my grandfather Padmashri #AlluRamalingaiah garu in ALLU Studios on his birth anniversary today along with #AlluBobby & @AlluSirish. He was our pride and will continue to be a part of our journey at Allu studios,” tweeted Allu Arjun.

Born on October 1, 1922, Allu Ramalingaiah is one of the most popular actors ever, having risen to stardom in the black & white era of Telugu cinema history. He appeared in over 1000 films over five decades.

Ramalingaiah was presented the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in the year 2001 for his contribution to arts. He received Padma Shri for his remarkable contribution to the Telugu film industry for the year 1990. He got Filmfare Award South for Lifetime Achievement in 1999.
