As we had reported earlier, Pushpa: The Rise is likely to arrive on OTT this weekend. The latest reports from several reliable media outlets are publicizing the same now. If that is the case, Pushpa: The Rise will be arriving on Amazon Prime Video on the 7th of January -this weekend.
The initial plan was to orchestrate Pushpa: The Rise’s OTT release three weeks post its theatrical release. This decision was taken after learning that RRR would be arriving in theatres on 7th January and all the theatres will be allotted to this film. So, the makers of RRR agreed to the 3-weeks OTT release proposal.
Even though RRR’s release has been postponed now, the makers of Pushpa: The Rise are left with no other option but to go ahead with the OTT release prospect as Amazon Prime Video persists on the same.
Pushpa is still going on a merry run at the box office in the Hindi market but that might be affected to an extent after the film arrives on Amazon Prime Video this weekend. But neither Amazon nor the makers of Pushpa have spoken about the OTT release date till now. The makers are saying the film will not be arriving on OTT this weekend, but rumors are rife that the film will indeed be available for streaming on Amazon Prime from 7th January.
