Jagan repeating Chandrababu’s mistakes?

The major mistake that Telugu Desam Party National president and Andhra Pradesh ex-Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu did, was to give a free hand to all of his MLAs, after the 2014 elections, which greatly cost him the 2019 elections. Chandrababu let his MLAs rule without a care in the world, which led to great corruption, and the dominance of the MLAs in their constituencies.

Learning from this mistake, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, after becoming the CM, gave absolutely no control to his MLAs, making sure that everything went past him. With this, the village secretaries became very powerful in AP. However, now, after 2 years of coming to power, it looks as though Jagan is letting things slide by, and giving his MLAs a free hand, like Chandrababu.

The dominance of YSRCP MLAs is said to be increasing in their constituencies, unlike before, the best example of which is the recent Casino organised in Gudivada, to which the government seemed to have paid a blind eye. The Casino was organised in a convention centre owned by Nani, and the lewd dances and unbridled betting that took place in the casino became the talk of the town. There are even allegations that Jagan relaxed the night curfews because one of the movies that were released for Sankranthi was produced by a minister’s brother. It is now being said that Jagan is repeating the same mistakes as Chandrababu, which is expected to cost him greatly if he doesn’t take the necessary action.
