Centre says no to SCS, YCP Minister blames TDP Chief!

Killing the hopes of the people of Andhra Pradesh of getting special status for the state, the Union Government had once again shown empty hands on the ‘Special Category Status’ (SCS).

Ahead of the crucial meeting chaired by a high-level committee, the Union Home Ministry has removed the Category issue from the list of issues that will be discussed.

After the Union Home Ministry took the shocking decision, the YCP Ministers have asked the Union government why the sudden change happened. The likes of Urban Minister Botsa Satyanarayana have openly expressed their dissatisfaction against the same.

While the YCP leaders have accused the BJP of not considering the interests of Andhra Pradesh, Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy gave a new dimension to the issue and alleged that TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu played his role in this.

Alleging that Chandrababu Naidu doesn’t like Andhra Pradesh to get a special status, the Minister opined that Chandrababu Naidu had used the BJP Rajya Sabha members who were once with TDP to make the Union Government change its stand.

However, the BJP had hit back at this saying that TDP is not its alliance anymore and the BJP is not in a position to act on the actions and suggestions given by Chandrababu Naidu on any issues, including the Special status.
