Superpower nation Russia took everyone by surprise by launching a war against the European nation Ukraine. Given the military size of Russia, everyone thought that Russian troops would have an easy task and the war would be a cakewalk for them. The other nations and the experts also predicted the same.
However, something which was not predicted or expected by anyone happened. Ukraine is acting tough on Russian troops and putting a brave face. Leading from the front, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is setting an example of how a leader should be when a crisis hits.
Russia, which is in severe shock with the tough stand of Ukraine, had offered talks with the nation to sort out the issues. After saying no to the initial offers, Ukraine is said to have expressed his desire to have a word with Russia to put an end to this.
Ukraine changed its opinion on the talks after Russia had reportedly asked the military to keep the nuclear “deterrence forces” ready. Following the deadly move, Ukraine had decided to have talks in this regard.
The Ukraine President reportedly said that he had agreed to the talks so that the people in the country won’t think that the President did not do anything to put a full stop to the war. Having said that, he also sounded doubtful about the positive outcome of the talk between the two nations.
It’s been five days since the war started. But the bulldozing Russian army could not capture the capital region Kyiv, courtesy the Ukrainian forces. The forces were complemented by common people who were picking up weapons to counter the invading troops.
People of all ages and sectors are hitting the roads to fight for their country. Foret about others, former Miss Ukraine Anastasiia Lenna also joined the force to fight the Russian troops. The list of people who are joining the war is getting only bigger.
It has been widely reported that the people are awaiting the issuance of weapons from the army so that they can also take part in fighting from their motherland.
So far, the Ukrainian troops have killed more than 3,500 Russian soldiers while a few others were captured. Besides this, Ukraine also claimed that several bunkers and other army vehicles that belonged to Russia were taken by their troops.
