Telangana CM KCR is in New Delhi for the past three days. What did he achieve? This is the question being asked in the political circles in the Telangana state. KCR did not meet any NDA Minister to demand anything for the state. No opposition leader worth the salt met him while he is in New Delhi.
The only politician he could manage to meet was BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanyam Swami. It is an open secret that he is a renegade in the BJP and is unlikely get renominated after his term expires. He is close to 80 and has no political future whatsoever. So, Swamy is a political non-entity now. Meeting his is of no consequence.
KCR also met farmers leader Rakesh Tikait. Though he is a rabble rousing farmers leader, Rakesh Titait does not have a reputation as a trustworthy leader.
He hobnobs with all the political parties, but ends up achieving nothing. Interestingly, during his visit to Hyderabad, Tikait made adverse comments against KCR and called him anti-farmers. So, the meeting in Delhi is no more than a mere photo-op.
Interestingly, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal did not think it fit to meet KCR. He did not even bother to invite KCR for even a luncheon.
The TRS sources themselves are reasoning that the total lack of importance to KCR in North India. How can KCR hope to influence the national politics with just 17 Lok Sabha seats, when parties like DMK, Trinamool Congress and Maharashtra have more than 35 Lok Sabha seats in their respective states., ask TRS insiders.
