Speaking in the assembly today, Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao made a very interesting comment related to the Telugu film indsutry.
“Previously, Telangana dialect was only used by jokers in Telugu films. But things have changed now. A film is succeeding at the box office if it comes with Telangana dialect. The change in paradigm is evident.” KCR said.
KCR added that the Telangana dialect and diction is far more respected now and said this is a very positive development.
Notably, recent release, DJ Tillu had Siddhu Jonnalagadda speaking extensively in Telangana dialect. The film went on to become a big hit at the box office.
