Early polls dangerous for TRS: PK team’s report

Are the people of Telangana unhappy with the TRS governance? Are they unhappy that there are no government jobs? Are those who fought for the Telangana statehood unhappy because those who opposed the movement are now occupying plum positions? These are among the 22 questions that Team Prashant Kishor reportedly asked in their survey in Telangana to ascertain the mood of the state.

The results of the survey, which were placed before TRS boss KCR, have stunned the party’s top brass. According to those in the know, KCR still commands respect in the state, but the policy of pampering those opportunistic leaders who joined the party later is being detested by the rank and file of the party in particular and the general public at large.

There is anger among the cadre that those who slapped cases against them are now enjoying the fruits of power. These opportunists are being dubbed as the “Bangaru Telangana Batch” as they are enjoying the fruits of the sacrifices made by the grassroots level workers of the party. The survey also showed that the BJP was cashing in on this discontent among the people.

The internal survey also revealed that several grassroots leaders are now in touch with the BJP leaders and are ready to leave the party at the right time. The survey also showed that most of these people prefer the BJP to the Congress party.

The survey report allegedly suggested that such disgruntled leaders should be cajoled and pandered to immediately to salvage the situation. The report also suggested against going for early polls as the discontent brewing would immediately solidify and help the BJP.
