Is senior AP Minister Botsa Satyanarayana unhappy over the ministry he got? Yes say, sources. For the past few days, Botsa has been confined to his residence in Vizianagaram. He is meeting guests and invitees as usual, but has not made any political comments. Sources say that Botsa has no interest in education ministry that Jagan allocated him
Instead, he wants to continue as the municipal affairs minister. To show his displeasure, Botsa has even skipped the first review meeting of his department. In fact, YS Jagan chaired the review meeting. Yet, Botsa chose to stay away. Meanwhile, the municipal administration department has gone to Adimulapu Suresh, who till recently handled the education department.
The opposition has already begun questioning as to why Botsa has remained confined to Vizianagaram and has not taken charge so far. Ganta Srinivas Rao, the TDP MLA, sought to know why Botsa has not taken charge so far. Sources say that YS Jagan might reconsider his decision and give the municipal administration wing to Botsa soon.
Meanwhile, only two ministers in the newly constituted council of ministers have not taken charge of the departments allocated to them. Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath and Botsa Satyanarayana are the only two ministers, who are yet to take charge. While Buggana has his reasons for not taking charge now, the only reason why Botsa has not taken charge is because he is unhappy with the department given to him, according to sources.
