Megastar Chiranjeevi is a name that needs no introduction. He is one of the biggest commercial heroes in India. He is the epitome of mass for the past 3-4 decades. He is known for his action, comedy, romance and dances. Even after giving a comeback into films in his sixties, he always had a heroine and had dance numbers.
He romanced Kajal in ‘Khaidi No 150’ and did mass songs like ‘Ammadu Let’s Do Kummudu’ with her which made his fans go wild. Even in a historic film like ‘Sye Raa’, Megastar had Nayanthara playing his wife while Tamannaah was seen as the woman who loves him and gets motivated by him.
As he is nearing his seventies, Megastar decided to not have a heroine in his upcoming release ‘Acharya’. Though Kajal was roped in as the heroine initially, director Koratala Siva confirmed that her portion has been chopped off from the film since it had no significance and it would do injustice for a star like Kajal Agarwal.
While it is a very good decision, it is to be seen if it goes down well with the Mega fans. This will be the first time in ages that Megastar will not be having a heroine to romance onscreen. But the team of ‘Acharya’ tried to compensate it by having Charan and Pooja Hegde as a pair in the film. The young pair is expected to fill the void and Koratala even managed to insert an item song ‘Saana Kastam’ which had Megastar shaking the leg with Regina Cassandra. Let us wait and see how the audience embraces the lack of heroine for Megastar in ‘Acharya’.
