In what is being seen as a huge shock to minister Adimulapu Suresh, a large section of the YSRCP leaders have raised a banner of revolt against his style of functioning. On Monday, the minister held a preparatory meeting in Pullala Cheruvu for the upcoming “Gadapa Gadapaku YSRCP†programme, which will begin from Wednesday. The YSRCP was divided into two rival groups and one group slammed Adimuapu Suresh and his style of functioning.
This group said that the minister was encouraging groupism in the party. The members of the rival group charged Suresh with giving plum posts to undeserving candidates while ignoring the rightful claims of others talented and deserving leaders. They also charged Adimulapu with promoting casteism in the party.
It may be recalled that Adimulapu was retained as a minister, while Jagan’s relative and senior leader Balineni Srinivas Reddy was dropped from the cabinet. This came as a shock to those backing Balineni. The leaders in Pullala Cheruvu, who owe their allegiance to Balineni have been showing their displeasure at Adimulapu Suresh’s style of functioning
With party’s massive outreach programme starting from Wednesday, the differences in Prakasam YSRCP came to the fore. Adimulapu is facing rough weather in the party. Those owing allegiance to other leaders are openly demonstrating their dissatisfaction with Adimulapu Suresh. How he tackles the dissidence remains to be seen.
