The YSRCP government follows an interesting arrest strategy, where it targets its enemies or opponents at that time of the year or month or week when the High Court is on leave and wouldn’t be able to grant bail to the accused within 24 hours. A number of people have been arrested in a similar way throughout the YSRCP’s rule so far, and it now looks like the biggest opposition to the YSRCP, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is also going to face a similar fate.
The government is said to be trying to accuse Chandrababu of corruption and irregularities in the inner ring road planning of Amaravati. A case has been registered to this effect as well. Political circles of Andhra Pradesh as rife with speculations that Chandrababu would be arrested in the days to come, much like Narayana, a member of the TDP and a close aide of Chandrababu.
Given that summer vacation began for the HC yesterday and that the vacation bench would be working for just a week a day on Thursdays, it is highly likely that Chandrababu could be arrested anytime at all. A petition has to be filed t the court on a Tuesday, which would then go to a hearing on the bench on Thursday. As a result, it’s being said that it’s only time before Chandrababu is arrested.
